After achieving academic success and a promising future in the world of IT, DaGrizz found himself grappling with feelings of isolation and unfulfillment. It wasn't until a late November day in 2019 that he discovered a grizzly bear living inside of him.

 

  DaGrizz, born Don Allen Smith III, commonly known as Grizz, is a Cherokee Native American/North American rapper, singer, and songwriter hailing from Kansas City. Smith is the founder of DaGrizz, LLC, and Land O*Misfits Productions.

 

  Born on Tuesday, January 30th, 1990, in Irving, Texas (USA). In 1997 DaGrizz relocated to Kansas City with his parents and two younger siblings, spending his formative years there.

 

  After obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management and embarking on a career in the I.T. industry, DaGrizz soon found that his true passion lay in music, the hip hop culture, and making a positive impact on the world. Driven by an undeniable call to the stage and studio, he left behind the corporate world to pursue his dream of creating resonant music.

 

  Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists, from Brother’s Johnson, Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eminem, and Bob Marley to more contemporary influences such as $uicideboy$, Gucci Mane, BONES, Future etc… DaGrizz brings a unique blend of Hip Hop/Rap infused with elements of rock n’ roll, country, alternative & emo vibes.
